The Shire has so many things you should see. So I'll start by giving you a guide to the different taverns around the Shire.
In the Shire you'll find several taverns, and they are spread all over. You'll find taverns in the Westfarthing, Northfarthing and Eastfarthing.
So let's get on and give a little overview of the taverns of the Shire.
The Bird and Baby Inn
The Bird and Baby Inn is located in Michel Delving, the chief town of the Shire.
The Ivy Bush
The Ivy Bush is located in Hobbiton, the village where Frodo and Bilbo used to live. The Ivy Bush was favoured by the elder hobbits, and was often visited by Samwise Gamgee's father, Hamfast Gamgee (known as 'the Gaffer').
The Green Dragon
Favoured by Frodo Baggins, Samwise Gamgee and all of their friends. The Green Dragon is located in Bywater, just a tiny bit east of Hobbiton. A little walk further than the Ivy Bush, but it is the location of some of the most interesting hobbit tales that you'll ever hear.
The Floating Log
Located in the village of Frogmorton, The Floating Log is not the most known tavern in the Shire. Still they produce a different ale which is worth a try.
The Plough and Stars
In the Northfarthing you'll also get your hands on some tasty ale. The Plough and Stars in Brockenborings is the home of the Wooly-foot Stout, a beer you can eat with knife and fork.
The Golden Perch
In Stock you'll find the Golden Perch. The Perch is known for the best ale in the Eastfarthing, or at least it used to be ...
This post will be updated with more information about each tavern in the near future.
